Paige & Craig's Autumnal October Wedding

Autumn. The season of pumpkin spice, fallen leaves, cosy nights, and, in my opinion, the best time of year for weddings. Yes, I know that it's far more likely to rain, and it's chillier then August, and it gets darker earlier, but it's just so magical and cosy. Paige & Craig's wedding last week at Curradine Barns was all of my Autumnal dreams come true. There were pumpkins all over the place, nods to the season in their table decor, and a gorgeous sunshine-y day!

Curradine Barns is the perfect place for an Autumn wedding. A super cosy, red brick barn venue situated in Worcester, packed with charm, and even a fireplace for those chillier seasons! The outdoor space is just beautiful, from the entrance to the courtyard, and it's easy to see how this venue perfectly adapts to suit every season.

Paige & Craig chose to book our most popular package, Sunflower, so we arrived nice and early to get all set up, and were absolutely buzzing to find out we'd be performing up on the balcony in the Granary Barn for their ceremony - it's so good for us to be able to see everything from above, getting a clear view of whoever is leading the ceremony so we know when to begin your entrance song, and seeing the top of the aisle so we can perfectly time the song to finish as you reach your partner!

The new Mr & Mrs Lewis chose some fab songs from our repertoire for their ceremony, including Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen, At Last by Etta James, and, our most popular request, Can't Help Falling In Love for Paige's entrance. Can't Help Falling In Love is one of the first songs we rehearsed together as a duo, and it really holds a special place in my heart, so being able to perform it for so many of our beautiful couples during their ceremonies really does fill me with joy.

After the happy couple said 'I Do', and legally became Mr & Mrs Lewis, everyone moved outside for confetti, so we took the opportunity to set up for the drinks reception facing out to the beautiful courtyard, on what was a gorgeous sunny day. Paige & Craig asked us for a mixture of everything, so everything is what we played! A little bit of Al Green, Tori Kelly, Nina Simone, Fleetwood Mac, and of course the Spice Girls, because every wedding needs a bit of the Spice Girls!

It was such a joy to share Paige & Craig's day, almost two years since we first spoke, and finally see them become Mr & Mrs. The whole day was super chilled, intimate, and cosy, just what a midweek Autumn wedding should be! Everybody was in good spirits, and it looked set to continue to be a good day even after we left...especially as we found out there were a couple singing waiters appearing during dinner, haha!!
